Mate Studio ('we', 'our') operates the website matestudio.co.nz. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it and what your rights are. Data we collect
- Contact form: full name, email address and the content of the message you send us.
- Analytics (with your consent only): anonymised IP address, pages visited, session time and interaction events via Google Analytics 4.
- Technical data: server logs (hashed IP address) used solely for abuse protection via Upstash Redis.
How we use your data
- Respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form.
- Protect the site against spam and abuse (rate limiting).
- Analyse traffic and user behaviour to improve the site (consent required).
- Monitor technical errors to ensure service stability (Sentry).
Data processors and third parties
- Zoho Mail (SMTP): email delivery processing. Messages are retained for up to 24 months.
- Google Analytics 4: traffic analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies. Data is stored on Google's servers.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3: anti-spam verification on the contact form. Google's privacy policy applies.
- Upstash Redis: temporary storage of hashed IPs for rate limiting. Logs are deleted after 30 days.
- Sentry: technical error reporting. No personally identifiable data is stored.
- Vercel: hosting infrastructure. Vercel Speed Insights collects anonymous performance metrics.
Legal basis for processing
- Consent: for analytics and marketing cookies (where applicable).
- Legitimate interest: for site security, abuse prevention and error monitoring.
Data retention
Contact form messages are retained for up to 24 months. Rate-limiting logs are deleted after 30 days. Cookie preferences are stored for 365 days on your device.
Your rights
